Chalet Arkle is available on an exclusive use basis only and the prices shown are for the whole chalet.
Change-over day is Sunday. Logical really, cheaper flights, roads less busy, shorter transfer times and you get to enjoy Saturday skiing and the comparatively deserted slopes.
Price includes
Seven nights accommodation on a self catering basis, the use of the outdoor hot tub, the use of dressing gowns during your stay, all towels and bed linen, cleaning prior to and after your stay.

Chalet Arkle is only available on an exclusive use basis.
A deposit of 30% is taken with your booking and the balance is required 8 weeks prior to your holiday. For bookings within 8 weeks of your holiday, full payment is taken at the outset.
The deposit and final balance payment is required by bank transfer in Euros to a French bank account.
A £1000 security deposit is required 7 days prior to your arrival at Chalet Arkle, payable via credit/debit card. This will be refunded on to the same card within 7 days of your departure from Chalet Arkle. We understand that from time to time the odd cup or plate may be broken and this we accept as general wear and tear up to the value of 20€, any breakages above this amount will need to be deducted from your security deposit. Please advise a staff member of any breakages during your stay.

Chalet Arkle Booking conditions
In these terms and conditions, 'we/us' shall mean Chalet Arkle and 'you/the client', shall mean the person in whose name the booking is made under. 'You/the client,' shall take responsibility for all persons on whose behalf the booking is made.
1.Contract
The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with Chalet Arkle. Please read them carefully as they set out the respective rights and obligations, for both, you, the client, and, us, at Chalet Arkle. Your contact is with Arkle Chalet Enterprises Ltd, Company number 6005082. No contract shall exist between Chalet Arkle and the client until the deposit/full holiday cost has been received by us, and when a confirmation invoice has been sent to you by us.
2. Payment
We accept correspondence via telephone and email. However, for a booking to be held as final, you must provide a 30% deposit of your holiday cost. We will then email you a booking confirmation and invoice for the balance of the holiday cost. A contract shall then exist between you, the client and us at Chalet Arkle. Balance of payment is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. If you book within 8 weeks of your arrival date, you must forward the full cost of the holiday. If full payment is not received 8 weeks prior to arrival, we at Chalet Arkle have the right to cancel your booking. The method of payment is by electronic funds transfer in Euros to a French bank account.
3. Cancellation by client
A cancellation must come in the form of a written and signed document from the client who made the booking. The following charges will apply once the written confirmation has been received.

4. Cancellation or alteration by Chalet Arkle
If in the unlikely event that Chalet Arkle has to cancel or alter your holiday, you will be notified as soon as reasonably possible and offered a full refund or comparable holiday. We will not be held liable for cancellations due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control.
5. Web page and brochure content
We have designed our website and brochure to be informative and user friendly. However, whilst every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of this content, Chalet Arkle will not be held liable for any errors or omissions. If you notice anything you deem to be inaccurate, please contact us.
6. Behaviour
Clients undertake to behave in a responsible manner. If, in our opinion, a client is likely to cause unwanted distress, annoyance or danger to Chalet Arkle staff, other clients or any relevant third party, we reserve the right to terminate the holiday of the client without compensation. We also reserve the right to invoice the client or charge the debit/credit card of the client for all breakages or damages.
7. Breakages and Damage
Clients are liable for any breakage, damage or loss to the chalet accommodation and its contents, whether the breakage, damage or loss is accidental or deliberate. All repair, breakage and damage costs must be paid prior to you departing the chalet. Chalet Arkle has the right to invoice the client or charge their debit/credit card for all breakages, damages or losses that remain unpaid at the time of departure. Chalet Arkle reserves the right to terminate clients holidays whose behaviour is detrimental to Chalet Arkle.
8. Complaints
In spite of all our best efforts, we recognize problems sometimes do occur. If you have a complaint please inform us immediately in order that we have an opportunity to rectify the problem, ensuring only minimal disruption to your holiday. If you feel your complaint hasn't been dealt with in a satisfactory manner, it must be followed by a formal letter of complaint, received by us within 4 weeks of your departure date. If in the unlikely event that the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the matter may be sent to the Chartered Institute of Arbitration for resolution.
9. Insurance
It is a condition of our accepting your booking that all members of your travelling party have adequate travel insurance cover for your skiing holiday. Please ensure you have your documents with you when travelling, as they will be required immediately in the event of any incidents. Chalet Arkle will require details of all client policies, including Insurance Company and policy number, prior to your traveling.
10. Transfers
Chalet Arkle does not provide any transfers however we can provide details of transfer companies for guests to arrange there own, Chalet Arkle has not undertaken a full review of every transfer company and clients book at their own risk.
11. Personal belongings
Chalet Arkle are at no time held responsible for the loss or damage to personal items of the client, including money. Personal items remain the sole responsibility of the client.
12. Visas and passports
All clients must be in possession of a valid passport along with the necessary visas to allow entry into France and Switzerland. Any costs or fines incurred due to failing to meet such requirements will be the sole responsibility of the client.
13. Smoking
For the comfort of all our guests and staff in addition to fire safety Chalet Arkle is strictly a no smoking property.
14. Children
The Client must accept responsibility for the behaviour and welfare of any children in the Client's party. Every effort is made to ensure safety in the Property, however any Client taking children on holiday does so at their own risk. For safety reasons we do not recommend any children under the age of 14 to use the outdoor hot tub.
15. Check in & check out
Check in to your room on the day of arrival will be from 4pm and check out on the day of departure will be no later than 10am.
16. Hot tub
Guests staying at Chalet Arkle are welcome to use the outdoor hot tub however due to safety reasons we do not recommend children under the age of 14 to use the hot tub. No food can be eaten in the hot tub and any drinks must be in plastic glasses. Clients must not attempt to open the hot tub without prior instruction from the Chalet Arkle staff. The hot tub is available for use during the hours of 8am & 11pm and we respectfully ask Clients to keep any outdoor noise to a minimum.
17. Catering
Chalet Arkle operates a self-catering property, we are able to provide contacts for external companies to provide food for which clients purchase from at their own risk
18. Cleaning
Chalet Arkle will be cleaned by a professional cleaner prior to your stay and includes bed linen and towels. On your departure the chalet should be left in a presentable condition including a kitchen clear of dirty dishes and clean worktops. Should this not be the case then we reserve the right to charge you 50€ per hour for any additional cleaning that may be required over what we would ordinarily provide. Should you require extra cleaning during your stay this can be arranged for an additional cost.
